The Desktop Design ™ gives users a familar navigation path to access any function of the software. Users can set up desktops specific to their unique needs such as a mechanics desktop that includes short cuts to equipment and work order screens, and inventory managers desktop that includes shortcuts to the inventory screen, purchase order section, receive item sections and specific reports. The number and variety of task specific desktops is virtually unlimited.

Each section, such as work order, equipment, etc. is divided in to two views: the list partition and the data entry partition. The list partition gives users a quick view of each item that the specific section deals with. The list can be filtered according to the needs of the user. The data entry partition contains the data fields and tabbed screens that provide users with a host of options regarding the information about entered about a particular item.
Innovative design and consistent controls: two aspects of the collectiveFleet interface that enhance the overall power of the Collective Data system. The controls, navigation and desktop design also help shorten the learning curve for new users and virtually eliminate the need for cross training users from the various departments that work with the software.
