Scheduling

The Heart of Maintenance Management

Flexibility is the key to effective scheduling. Collective Data offers users a variety of approaches designed to let users create a scheduling system that best meets their needs. Assets, whether they are a bulldozer, battery or a generator can be treated as a single unit, broken down to component pieces, or both. In fact, nearly any aspect of an asset can be associated with a PM category, inspection or service schedule.

Schedule management is the heart of any maintenance management system. By incorporating the design concepts of IPA into the schedule management process, we provide users with the time saving options of creating schedule sets, which provide users with a fast and accurate method of applying service, inspection, and PM schedules to a particular class of equipment. Individual and one-time schedules are also options for any piece of equipment, even those that are assigned to a schedule set.

Scheduling not only applies to equipment, but to personnel assets as well. License, certification and other issues can be treated as scheduled events ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate personnel records.

Unique events that require action such as repairs and recall campaigns are also scheduled via the Scheduled Work Order function built into Collective Data maintenance management software.

Scheduled events are conveniently displayed in one of the associated task lists. Schedules can be time- based, meter-based or a combination of the two. The associated task lists include:

  • PM/Inspection
  • Warranty
  • License/Certification
  • Registration

All scheduled events are displayed in the master "To Do" list which displays all tasks that are overdue, due today and upcoming tasks.

The task and to do list allow User's easy access to:
  • Create work orders
  • Update registrations
  • Update License information
  • Update certification information
  • Warranty notifications

The Task Lists and the To Do list provide a resource saving pathway to managing scheduled activities.

Tasks created from the Maintenance Request section also appear on the master To Do list. From that point, users can easily create unique work orders or assign the requested action to an already existing work order. This feature is an excellent planning tool that gives users added flexibility in managing resources and downtime.
