Fleet Asset Management

A New Approach to an Old Challenge

Fleet Asset management plays a crucial role in the performance of virtually any operation. With Collective Data CMMS software, nearly anything can be regarded as an asset: tools, automobiles, heavy equipment, individual components, facilities, parts, etc. can be managed from acquisition to disposal.

Effective Management

Maintenance management is a complex chain of events. Our mission and our expertise lie in helping our clients simplify the process without missing any links in the chain. By focusing on the maintenance management process, we are able to manage maintenance events. Beyond vehicle and equipment management, an effective system also provides for the administration of the parts and personnel that play an integral role in maintaining them. Both versions of Collective Data, Fleet and Pro, provide clear and detailed paths to asset and process optimization.

Links in the Chain

Like any chain, each link is crucial to the integrity of the whole. Unlike other programs that may identify the links, Collective Data provides a management path that takes advantage of the integrated nature of the entire maintenance process.

Acquisition

The acquisition link represents an opportunity to use historical data, including overall cost of operation, to make informed purchasing decisions. Once a purchase is made, equipment is tracked, in all aspects, throughout it's lifetime.

Schedule

The scheduling link gives users a host of options regarding how they want to approach the maintenance of a piece of equipment. Schedules can be applied to equipment, components of equipment and even individual parts of components.

Proper schedule management is the core of all maintenance management systems. Proper scheduling promotes complete adherence to manufacture maintenance recommendations and any internally generated procedures or requirements.

Maintain

Active maintenance is where the rubber meets the road. Schedules, parts, equipment, personnel and facilities all come together to provide the highest level of performance for your revenue generating assets. Work orders based on scheduled events, operator requests, recall campaigns, etc. provide a real-time control of what takes place on the shop floor.

History

Historical data gives users an accurate view of a host of important factors used in making purchase and resource allocation decisions. Fuel efficiency, total cost-per-meter, down time averages etc. can also be used as predictive maintenance indicators.

Reports

The report link provides a coherent view of any aspect of a user's maintenance management operation. Hundreds of reports can be available to help users validate procedures, make purchasing decisions, verify maintenance, etc.

Disposal

The final link in the chain employs all the preceding links to make the equipment retirement process less complicated and potentially profitable. Detailed maintenance records provided along with a well maintained asset bring a higher price on the secondary or trade market. The historical data along with the detailed equipment data can also facilitate a smoother retirement of environmentally sensitive assets.
